DNC Registry Integration

The DNC Registry integration enables your company to check phone numbers against Federal and State Do Not Call registries before placing outbound AI Campaign calls. When a phone number appears on a DNC list, the call is automatically blocked to help maintain TCPA compliance.

The integration also supports RightPartyID verification, which checks whether the contact name matches the registered owner of the phone number. This helps ensure you're reaching the intended person and maintains compliance standards.

Connecting the DNC Registry

  1. Go to Company Settings → Integrations in your Kayse dashboard.
  2. Find the DNC + Ownership Verification card and click Connect.
  3. Enter your DNC / Ownership Verification API key.
  4. Choose which compliance services to enable:
    • DNC Registry Screening — screen against Federal and State Do Not Call lists (enabled by default)
    • TCPA Litigator Screening — screen against known TCPA litigators and consumer-protection filers (enabled by default)
    • Phone Ownership Check — verify the called party matches the intended contact (enabled by default)
  5. Click Connect.

After connecting, outbound AI Campaign calls will be checked using your selected compliance services before dialing.

INFO

If you don't have a DNC Registry account or API key, contact your DNC registry provider to set one up.

Updating or Disconnecting

To update your API key, change compliance service settings, or disconnect the integration:

  1. Go to Company Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click Settings on the DNC + Ownership Verification card.
  3. To update your API key: enter a new API key and click Save.
  4. To enable or disable specific compliance services: toggle the corresponding switch and click Save.
  5. To disconnect: click Disconnect at the bottom of the dialog.

TIP

Disconnecting the DNC Registry does not affect any other part of your workflow. Campaigns will continue to run normally — they simply won't perform DNC registry checks before calling.

How It Works

When the DNC Registry is connected and a campaign places an outbound call, the enabled compliance services run independently:

  1. DNC Registry Screening (if enabled): The phone number is checked against the Federal and State Do Not Call registries. If the number is on a DNC list, the call is blocked and marked as "Blocked by Do Not Call List".
  2. TCPA Litigator Screening (if enabled): The phone number is checked against a database of known TCPA litigators and consumer-protection filers. If matched, the call is blocked.
  3. Phone Ownership Check (if enabled and campaign has RightPartyID screening on): The contact name is verified against the registered phone owner. If the name does not match, the call is blocked and marked as "Blocked by RightPartyID Mismatch" to ensure you're reaching the correct person.
  4. If all enabled checks pass, the call proceeds normally.

All compliance check results are logged for audit and review. Each service runs independently — if one service encounters an API error, the others continue to run.

Campaign-Level DNC and RightPartyID Controls

Each campaign has an Enable DNC + RightPartyID Screening toggle on the Details tab. This toggle only appears when the DNC Registry is connected for your company.

  • Enabled (default): Outbound calls run all enabled compliance checks (DNC Registry, TCPA Litigator, and/or Phone Ownership as configured in integration settings). Calls that fail any enabled check are blocked.
  • Disabled: All compliance checks are skipped for this campaign. All calls proceed regardless of DNC status, litigator match, or name verification.

Compliance Services

DNC Registry Screening

Checks phone numbers against Federal and State Do Not Call registries. Numbers on a DNC list are automatically blocked from being contacted.

TCPA Litigator Screening

Screens phone numbers against a database of known TCPA litigators and individuals who have filed consumer-protection complaints. Matched numbers are automatically blocked to reduce legal risk.

Phone Ownership Check

Verifies that the contact name in your system matches the registered owner of the phone number. Calls are blocked when:

  • Blocked by RightPartyID Mismatch: The contact name does not match the phone owner on record
  • No Match Found: The phone number could not be verified in the registry

These blocks help ensure compliance and that you're contacting the correct individual.

INFO

DNC and RightPartyID enforcement applies to outbound calls only. It does not affect SMS, email, or other messaging channels.

What Happens When the DNC Registry Is Not Connected

If your company has not connected the DNC Registry:

  • Campaigns run using the existing enrichment and calling workflow with no changes.
  • The DNC Scrubbing toggle does not appear on the campaign page.
  • No phone numbers are checked against external DNC registries.

FAQ

Does DNC scrubbing slow down my campaigns? The DNC check happens in milliseconds before each call and does not noticeably affect campaign speed.

What if the DNC Registry API is temporarily unavailable? If the API returns an error, the call is allowed to proceed. The error is logged for review.

Does this replace contact enrichment services? No. The DNC Registry handles Do Not Call registry checks. Contact enrichment services handle contact data enrichment. They serve different purposes and work independently.
